Biography

William P. Haddock has been a licensed attorney for over 20 years. His main area of practice at Pendergraft & Simon is appellate litigation. Before joining Pendergraft & Simon Mr. Haddock served as a briefing attorney for the Court of Appeals for the First Judicial District of Texas and edited treatises on state and federal court litigation in Texas for The Rutter Group. He went into law as a solo practitioner from 1997 to 2005 where he was first and second chair counsel in a variety of civil cases, including deceptive trade practices, commercial, subrogation, personal injury, tort, bankruptcy, tax, and probate. He has extensive experience as a mediator and was also counsel to The Vaughn Law Firm, Aaron & Quirk, and Cweren Law Firm.

Mr. Haddock is a member of the Bankruptcy and Appellate Sections of the State Bar of Texas. His work, “The Uruguay Round’s Dispute Settlement Understanding: Ensuring a More Stable and Predictable Trading Environment,” was published in fall of 1994 by Currents, International Trade Law Journal. Mr. Haddock has also given expert testimony on the subject of accounting standards and on the subject of Texas commercial law in foreign courts.
